The proposed development area is to the south of Bath near the village of South Stoke, and mid way between Combe Down & Odd Down.

The area is frequently referred to as The South Stoke Plateau by surrounding communities. The applicant has named their development 'Sulis Down'.

Proposed development

The application is to build 290 new houses shown as phase 3 & 4 below. These would be addition to 171 already being built in phase 1 by Countryside plc. The Hignett Family Trust sold the land for phase 1 for £19.8 million.
